1. Access to older models: The OEM (today's Gildemeister successor) offers service for older models only to a limited extent, or no longer at all. We have specialised in exactly these machines since 1994 and have the spare parts archives, circuit diagrams and experience it takes.

2. Cost advantage: Independent service partners typically work 30-50% cheaper than factory service — at comparable or better quality. That comes from the leaner setup and from the fact that we repair parts instead of replacing them automatically.

3. Speed: While OEM factory service often has weeks of lead time, we usually respond within 24h on business days. When production is at a standstill, every hour counts.

What we cannot do: warranty repairs on new machines (only the OEM handles those) and proprietary firmware updates that the manufacturer does not release. For everything else we are the first choice.

Conclusion: For Gildemeister machines built between 1990 and around 2010, an independent partner such as ESDI is usually the more economical and the faster choice. For very new machines a parallel setup pays off: the OEM for what is new, us for everything that is getting older.
