Below we inform you in accordance with Art. 13 and 14 of the Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO / GDPR — General Data Protection Regulation) which data are processed when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis. This website is purely an information and contact site — there is no registration, no user account, no online sales and no tracking.

2. Accessing the Website & Server Log Files

When you access this website, your browser automatically transmits information to the server of our hosting provider, which is temporarily stored in what are known as log files. The following are recorded:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• name and URL of the file retrieved
• volume of data transferred
• browser used and, where applicable, operating system
• the previously visited page (referrer URL)

This processing is technically necessary in order to deliver the website and to ensure stability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO (GDPR). The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes.

3. Hosting

This website is operated at united-domains AG (Starnberg, Germany) or at the data centres in Germany used by that company. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO (GDPR) is in place with the provider; the log file data named under item 2 are processed exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.

4. Contacting Us (Form, Email, Telephone)

Via the contact and inquiry forms on this website, no data are stored on our server: when you submit the form, your own email program opens with a pre-filled message to info@esdi.de, which you send yourself. The transmission therefore takes place via your email provider.

If you contact us by form, email or telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, telephone number, details of the machine/part and your message) in order to process and answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO (GDPR) (initiation of a contract or pre-contractual measures) as well as our legitimate interest in answering it pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO (GDPR). We store these data until your matter has been conclusively dealt with; statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial and tax law, up to 6 or 10 years) remain unaffected. Photos transmitted optionally are used exclusively to process your inquiry.

5. Fonts & Symbols (Self-Hosting)

The fonts used on this website (Space Grotesk, Inter, Fira Code) and symbols (Material Symbols) are loaded exclusively from our own server (“self-hosting”). No data are transmitted to Google or other third parties for this purpose — in particular, your IP address is not passed on to external font providers.

6. External Libraries / Content Delivery Networks

The layout is delivered entirely from our own server; no external providers are integrated for this. For the parts search function (library “Fuse.js”, loaded via cdn.jsdelivr.net), program libraries are loaded from external content delivery networks (CDN). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to the respective operator of the CDN, as the contents could otherwise not be delivered to your browser. This serves the fast and reliable provision of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO / GDPR).

7. Cookies, Tracking & Analytics

This website uses no cookies, no tracking technologies, no reach measurement or web analytics tools, no social media plug-ins and no advertising networks. No profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO (GDPR) take place.

8. Encryption

This website is delivered via an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS — recognisable by the “https://” and the padlock symbol in the browser) in order to protect the transmission of your data.

9. Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
