// Symptom Instead of Part Number?

"Pressure too low" is not a part — it's a clue.

Chuck won't clamp, tailstock won't move, "pressure too low" message — with hydraulic problems the defect is rarely where the symptom shows up. Sensor, pump or leak?

  • // Pressure too low · chuck won't clamp
  • // Hydraulic pump hot · noise
  • // Leak at the clamping cylinder · oil loss
  • // Tailstock won't move · quill problem
  • // Pressure sensor reading implausible

// What We Cover

Hydraulic Components
for Gildemeister CNC.

ESDI supplies hydraulic spare parts for the Gildemeister machine family — from a single pressure seal to a complete hydraulic pump.

What we often see
with hydraulic faults.

// 01 · Pressure Sensor

The Pump Is Rarely to Blame.

When "pressure too low" appears on the display, it is usually the sensor, not the pump. Measure the pressure with an independent gauge — then decide.

// 02 · Chuck Won't Clamp

Three Classes of Cause.

Clamping cylinder seal faulty, pressure control out of adjustment, or chuck jaws worn. A phone diagnosis narrows that down in 5 minutes.

// 03 · Hydraulic Pump Hot

Filter? Oil Level? Bearings?

"Hydraulic pump overheating" can be a clogged filter, too low an oil level, or pump bearings at the end of their life. Checking in the right order often saves a complete pump replacement.

// 04 · Leak at the Clamping Cylinder

Seal or Crack?

With "oil loss at the clamping cylinder", it is usually just the seals at the end of their life — a crack in the cylinder itself is rare. Replacing the seals is enough.

// Frequently Asked Questions

Gildemeister Hydraulics —
what workshop managers ask.

Which Gildemeister hydraulic parts does ESDI supply?

Hydraulic pumps, pressure valves, clamping cylinders, pressure sensors, seals, high-pressure hoses and complete power units. For every common Gildemeister series.

Does ESDI repair hydraulic power units as well?

Yes. Seal replacement, pump repair, valve replacement. For extensive repairs we decide together with you whether repairing the unit or replacing it completely is the better option.

Which hydraulic brands does ESDI work with?

Gildemeister CNC machines carry components from several hydraulic manufacturers (Bosch Rexroth, Hawe, Eaton). We know the key components and also source cross-brand replacements.

How long does delivery of a hydraulic pump take?

Standard pumps usually 48h. Special types or discontinued power units on request.
